Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis celebrated in the Netherlands

An event was organized at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Netherlands on the occasion of Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year. The event was attended by heads and members of Azerbaijani community organizations operating in the Netherlands, as well as numerous compatriots residing in various cities and provinces of the country.

 

The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

Speaking at the event, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Netherlands, Mammad Ahmadzada, emphasized that strengthening the ties of Azerbaijanis living abroad with their Motherland has always been a priority of the state. He noted that the purposeful policy formulated by national leader Heydar Aliyev, based on the ideology of Azerbaijaniism, is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Highlighting that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was restored due to the resolute leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the unity of the Azerbaijani people, and the strength of the country’s glorious army, the diplomat underscored that all Azerbaijanis living abroad are proud of their powerful state. Ambassador Ahmadzada stressed the importance of the close unity of compatriots living in the Netherlands around the idea of Azerbaijaniism, acknowledged their efforts to convey the true voice of Azerbaijan, and congratulated the participants on Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.

 

Following him, Mayisa Agamirzayeva, Chair of the “Ana Vətən” Netherlands Azerbaijani Women’s Union, spoke about the significance of Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis , the deep attachment of the Azerbaijani community in the Netherlands to their homeland, and their efforts in promoting Azerbaijani truths abroad. She also expressed gratitude for the attention and support provided to diaspora organizations by the Azerbaijani state. On behalf of her organization, M. Agamirzayeva presented a plaque of appreciation to Honored Artist and kamancha master Khayyam Mammadov for his active participation in events promoting Azerbaijani culture in the Netherlands.

 

The program continued with performances of Azerbaijani music in the spirit of patriotism by Khayyam Mammadov, tar player Javid Salimov, and singer Sadikh Agamaliyev, both residing in the Netherlands. At the end of the event, musicians and attendees gathered around the piano to perform beloved pieces of Azerbaijani national music with great enthusiasm.

 

The event was remembered as a day that not only reaffirmed the unity, solidarity, and devotion of Azerbaijanis living in the Netherlands to their national and spiritual values, but also brought compatriots together and further strengthened the strong ties among them.
