On 15 October 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, during his visit to the Netherlands, held a meeting with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Marcel de Vink.

During the meeting, it was noted that recent high-level contacts between the two countries - in particular, the meeting between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, held on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the “European Political Community” in Copenhagen - have created a positive basis for the development of bilateral relations.

The sides emphasized the importance of regular political dialogue, including meetings between the foreign ministers within international platforms, the visit of Vice Minister Marcel de Vink to Baku in February of this year for political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the continuation of mutual visits.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on opportunities for developing cooperation in various areas. Economic collaboration was highlighted as a key component of bilateral ties and satisfaction was expressed with the successful activities of Dutch companies in Azerbaijan.
