Azerbaijan Represented at the 12th “Embassy Festival” in The Hague
On September 8, the 12th “Embassy Festival” took place in the central square of The Hague, bringing together representatives from 50 countries, including Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan’s presentation drew significant attention from festival participants. Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, and the Khan Shushinski Foundation, the event showcased mugham music — the national spiritual treasure of the Azerbaijani people, inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2008.
Singer Nisbat Sadrayeva, accompanied by tar player Rustam Muslimov and Honored Artist, kamancha player Togrul Asadullayev, performed several mugham dastgahs. The performance by Azerbaijani musicians was warmly received and applauded by festival visitors.
