AZERBAIJANI CULTURE ATTRACTS GREAT INTEREST AND ENTHUSIASM AT "EMBASSY FESTIVAL" IN THE HAGUE

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands participated in the traditional "Embassy Festival", organized under the patronage of the Municipality of The Hague.

This magnificent event, held in the heart of The Hague - the historical Lange Voorhout square, which is considered a symbol of global peace and justice - once again brought together the rich cultural heritage of nations under the motto “A world trip in a day”, offering thousands of visitors unforgettable moments. Approximately sixty countries took part in the event with their national pavilions, showcasing their cultural values.

The Azerbaijani pavilion at this prestigious cultural platform became one of the most visited corners of the festival due to its richness and vibrant display. Materials and exhibits presenting Azerbaijan’s history, culture, and tourism potential - including samples of traditional carpets and national clothing - as well as delicious culinary examples such as plov, dolma, kebab, qutab, and national sweets, attracted great interest from visitors. The taste, color, and spirit of Azerbaijani culture came together in this pavilion, representing our country with dignity.

The Mayor of The Hague, Mr. Jan van Zanen, visited the Azerbaijani pavilion and was welcomed by Ambassador Mammad Ahmadzada and Azerbaijani community. Mayor Jan van Zanen expressed his satisfaction with Azerbaijan's active participation in the festival and shared his deep admiration for the rich cultural heritage and hospitality traditions of the Azerbaijani people.

As part of the festival’s music program, the “Qafqaz” dance group - consisting of compatriots living in Europe - performed Azerbaijani national dances. The rhythm, aesthetics, and energetic movements of the dances captivated the audience, receiving enthusiastic applause and cheers. The atmosphere was so moving that many visitors joined the dancers in performing Azerbaijani national dances, including “Yalli” expressing their appreciation for our national culture. This moment turned into a celebration not only of the Azerbaijani culture but also of our unity and vibrant spirit.

This festival was not only an important step in promoting Azerbaijani culture on the international stage but also once again demonstrated our nation’s heritage, hospitality, and creative spirit.
